Performed by professional musicians and actors and by the raw power of the detainees, Watch makes spectacular use of and has fun with the passing of time, urgency, waiting, our before and after, and turns all this into a celebration. The soundtrack is the symbiosis of a relationship between Franz Schubert’s Winter Journey (arrangements by Hanz Zender) and electronic, gypsy or pop music. The track bears texts written by people living in poor housing, hospital patients, retirement home residents, pupils from an elementary school, and even prisoners in dialogue with Marcel Proust, Michel Foucault or Annie Erneaux.
