“An exchange where we change but without loss or distortion.”
Olivier Fredj
BETWEEN FAMILY AND LOVE CRUSHES AND CRASHES, RELATIONSHIPS AND BONDS ARE TESTED. Personal written exchanges between residents of Samusocial shelters, nursing homes, school children between the ages of 7 and 8, and lastly persons with mental issues service a custodial sentence together on the Châtelet stage by the Paradox Palace, actors, former prisoners and residents of social accommodation and nursing homes. The piece explores the relationship between these enclosed places and “outside” places, in the “active” society. The goal is to breathe life into the relationship between these places, or inside these places, between those who give care and those being cared for, between those who supervise and those who are supervised, between the teachers and the “taught”…
It also means making room for love, family, persons calling to the prison visiting room, marriages and children of detention or illness. Finally, it means thinking about the relationship between the State and the institution, between political decision and individual paths. Carried by the percussive beats of the SR9 Trio, Krush is a unique musical creation around Bach preludes and fugues performed by Shani Diluka and their festive transformations by Matias Aguayo.
