Stuart Jackson

Biography
Stuart Jackson was a choral scholar at Christ Church, Oxford, before completing his training at the Royal Academy of Music in 2013.
He won second prizes at both the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition and at the Hugo Wolf Competition in Stuttgart and has since given recitals for Stuttgart Opera, the Wigmore Hall, the Oxford Lieder Festival and the Albertina Musensaal in Vienna.
Concert and recital highlights this season include engagements with the London Symphony Orchestra and Alan Gilbert in Tippet A Child of Our Time; the Philharmonia Orchestra under Esa-Pekka Salonen in their 1808 Beethoven project; BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Britten Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings; Royal Northern Sinfonia in Haydn Creation with Paul McCreesh; the Hallé with Sir Mark Elder in Beethoven Ninth Symphony and Fidelio, and concerts and a recording of Handel Brockes Passion with Arcangelo and Jonathan Cohen. Stuart will sing Mahler Das Lied von der Erde with Julius Drake at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with Feride Büyükdenktas, then at Temple Church London with Alice Coote
He recently made his role and house debut as Jupiter Semele for Komische Oper, Berlin. Future plans include his debut for Bergen Opera and a return to Glyndebourne Festival.
