DANCING TO SPORT. Nearly 300 musicians, choristers, dancers, circus performers and actors, most of them from the regional Conservatory of Paris, have come together for this third and final show of the Cultural Olympiad at the Châtelet. This multidisciplinary artistic and cultural program is part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. And so, as one might expect, the doors of the theatre are therefore open to athletes who, alongside artists, occupy the stage for a popular show. At the heart of the evening, a reflection on the issues of inclusion: almost a third of the participants have disabilities. The dancer Vitória Bueno is the guest of this show built around the history and values of Olympism. From Antiquity to the present day, each of the paintings highlights universality, team spirit, surpassing personal limits and the taste for performance through an eclectic musical program, mixing the music by Maurice Ravel, George Gershwin or Igor Stravinsky but also traditional Malian songs, French songs or Indian music from Bollywood.
